HI-TECH COLUMN “Designer Marcel Bredos set leather upholstered seating and polished steel and glass accents against a background of deep grey in this home/office living room. The combination sets the perfect stage for an integrated audio video system that neither dominates nor retreats within the confines of the space. Rather than specifying new cabinetry, Bredos flush-mounted all the components within an existing structural column. The uppermost Pioneer RT-707 reel-to-reel features automatic reverse and provides the major source of music in the room alternating with a Sansui cassette deck just beneath it. Power is supplied by an SAE MK-XXX preamp with a 2200 power amplifier. Several sets of Acoustic Research MS-1 mini speakers were used. Bass is provided by a single M&K subwoofer.” .
